Advanced HEPA Bag-In Bag-Out Filter Unit for Laboratories
Bag-in-bag-out filter box: A safe and environmentally friendly filtration system
The bag-in-bag-out filter box is a pipe-type multi-stage high-efficiency filtration system specifically designed for biosafety laboratories. It is usually connected to the exhaust system and is designed to prevent the leakage of harmful pollutants, providing a safe and reliable solution for the replacement of air filters or chemical filters in hazardous environments.
The design of this filter box is very unique. When replacing the filter, the operator can do it in a sealed protective bag, effectively preventing the gas inside the box from coming into contact with the outside world and ensuring the safety of the operator and the environment. Gloves are also provided inside the protective bag to facilitate the staff's replacement operation. During the replacement process, the operator must strictly take personal protective measures to avoid being contaminated by the gas inside the box.
The bag-in-bag-out filter box can be equipped with various filter elements according to the needs of different laboratories. For example, a chemistry laboratory might choose an activated carbon filter element or a chemical filter element; Biosafety laboratories are usually equipped with high-efficiency filters, and sometimes even two high-efficiency filters are configured to reduce the leakage rate. In contrast, ordinary cleanrooms may use primary, medium and high-efficiency filters, or only be equipped with a first-level high-efficiency filter. In some special environments, it is also necessary to select filters with fireproof and high-temperature resistant functions.
The replacement cycle of the primary filter is generally one month, while that of the high-efficiency filter is usually 6 to 12 months. The replacement of chemical filters needs to be determined through gas detection. It is recommended to consult professionals engaged in the research of chemical filters.
The filtration section of the bag-in-bag-out filter box can be divided into single-stage filters and multi-stage filters. A single-load filter usually has only one high-efficiency filter and one inspection door. The multi-stage filter, on the other hand, is larger in size and consists of primary and medium-efficiency filtration sections, chemical filtration sections, activated carbon filtration sections, and dual high-efficiency filtration sections. Each filter corresponds to a maintenance door. The primary and medium efficiency filters can even correspond to two filters and one maintenance door.
Through this precise design and configuration, the bag-in-bag-out filter box not only provides efficient safety protection but also ensures the convenience and environmental friendliness of the operation process.
Double-layer bag design
Inner bag: Holds old filters or contaminants, seals them and then removes them.
Outer bag: Provides secondary protection during the replacement process to prevent leakage.
Flange interface: The filter is connected to the pipeline or equipment through a flange to ensure airtightness.
Quick clamping device: Facilitates the safe disassembly and assembly of filter bags.
Sealed replacement:
When replacing the filter material, the operator seals the old filter bags through the glove port (similar to a biosafety cabinet) and then installs the new ones, ensuring zero contact with contaminants throughout the process.
Negative pressure protection: The system usually maintains a negative pressure to prevent the leakage of contaminants.
Safety protection: Prevent personnel from direct contact with hazardous substances, and comply with strict standards such as OSHA and ISO.
Zero pollution: Eliminate the risk of cross-contamination or leakage during the replacement process.
High-efficiency filtration: Often paired with HEPA/ULPA filter materials, the filtration efficiency for 0.3μm particles is ≥99.97%.
The difference from ordinary filters:
